Beautifully illustrated, diverse array of modern eco-homes around the world. It’s a little redundant with Stang and Hawthorne’s recent “The Green House: New Directions in Sustainable Architecture,” which contains many of the same projects, including the Walla Womba Guest House, featured on the covers of both books (!). However, these projects deserve widespread attention. Lance Hosey’s introduction, “The Ecology of Home,” is one of the best summaries of eco-architecture in recent memory.
