Peter Green just …
Peter Green just was the Best. It doesn’t matter drugs addicted or not, he’s just a great musician. Forget all the stuff around all older days bands- their drugs abuse etc. just look and listen purely to their music, if necessary compare some. Greeny was it. He’s the man of the world. No Clapton and others ever reach his level.

TEXASSURFDONKEY December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

Obviously you don’t …
Obviously you don’t have a clue about blues.
John Lee rehashed the same 3 chords and 2 growls for 50 years. B.B King made the transition from Jazz and jump to contemporary and funk blues and still demands $100 a ticket at 82. There would be no Peter Green without B.B and Otis Rush.

Lol cuz most ppl …
Lol cuz most ppl out there thing bb king is the king of blues

1jsikma1 December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

Just a follow up?, …
Just a follow up?, this really reminds me of “Since I’ve been loving you”

1jsikma1 December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

I would totally …
I would totally agree with that or if not, Green and co were influenced by the same that Jimmy was? The phrasing sounds so similar to Jimmy’s Blues work?

stay cool!

cl0udtop December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

If you don’t like …
If you don’t like BB King, you don’t like him.
Why would I yell?

MRMITCHELLZ December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

B.B king also said …
B.B king also said that pete has more talent in his pinky finger then he(bb)has in his whole body…
but to me that don’t mean much to me…(go ahead an yell but i will never know wy bb king gets so much credit as a bluesman..his blues never had the same feel as ppl like pete green…john lee hooker…etc)

MRMITCHELLZ December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

Ive never seen it …
Ive never seen it in writing but im sure the zeppelin folks were influenced by peter green.

MRMITCHELLZ December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

I agree with you

I agree with you
Muddy might’ve said that becasue so many of his blues idols were religous ppl(just a speculation)
Ans Im not going to say he’s 100% wrong because when blues was young it was heavily influenced by gospels.
(an i was kiddin peter is certainly not a rabbi lol)

harveytg December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

Muddy Waters once …
Muddy Waters once said that to understand and play the blues you’ve got to go to church. Even as a practising Christian I’m happy to say he was wrong about that.

MRMITCHELLZ December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

bloomfield was …
bloomfield was jewish too?….
(i was never crazy bout his blues……i dont feel he played with the same feel as my rabbi peter allan greenbaum)

SquashBlank December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

There is no better …
There is no better guitarist than Peter Green, ever!

jimbosity007 December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

With Green,all you …
With Green, all you hear is authenticity.
Beyond the technical expertise[tone, economy of play, vibrato etc] it’s his conviction, commitment to the blues and ballsy grit that set him apart.

Antarblue December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

True.
True.

batalion666 December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

I hate blues except …
I hate blues except Green and Kirwan tracks

sam19851 December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

Peter Green never wasted a note in his life, period.

scumhater1 December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm

Fantastic guitarist …

crawdad1 December 5, 2008 at 7:24 pm
