Actually,the technique is correct. The insulation flows to the bottom of the cavity and builds up to the top. Once the wall is full of material, the installer gradually backs the hose out, continuing to install product. Once the wall is densepacked above the insertion hole, push the hose down to the bottom of the same cavity and repeat the process in reverse. This creates density above 3.5pcf, where settling is not an issue. This is the required method for “weatherization” jobsites.
